Our first taste of the “Dark Continent” happened in December of 2000, when we traveled by ferry boat from Gibraltar to Tangier, Morocco. We repeated the trip to Tangier the following February, 2001, when Verna’s parents joined us for a holiday in Spain.

After this initial taste of the African Continent we decided that we needed to visit with the bikes and spend more time.

We are looking forward to seeing much more of Africa but are not sure when we will be able to do this - surely the soonest will be when we have concluded our travels in Europe.
