Comment: This is Plant Island, a botanical garden created in the late 1800s by the British. It is lush with flowering plants and appeared to be popular spot for the locals as well.
breakfast boat * Near where the feluccas were moored sat this small boat with a burner, a few pots and some food. Here the other felucca drivers came for breakfast while their passengers were visiting the botanical gardens. * 432 x 220 * (52KB)

local ferry 2 * The green boats are the local ferries and here the people are streaming off the ferry after their day's work. The white boat toward the right of the photo is the tourist boat. * 432 x 254 * (63KB)
