Comment: The Jewish Burial Society building in Prague. This society made sure that all Jewish people, reagardless of economic status, were provided a decent burial. Next to this building (behind the wall) is the Jewish cemetary.

metro escalator * A shot from the bottom of one of the huge escalators in the Prague metro system.  This and others like it are long and quite steep.  While traveling on it, people look as if they are leaning back (if moving down) or leaning forward (if moving up) because the angle is so great. * 432 x 324 * (77KB)
